Karnataka thrashed Pondicherry 6-0 in the inaugural match of the sub junior national (South Zone) qualifying round at the Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad today.
State boys are grouped along with Pondicherry and host Telangana whereas thAuguse other group consists of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Karnataka will play their next group match against Telangana on August 15.
Rayaan Shakeer scored a brace for the state team - opened the account in the third minute of the game followed by another one in 78 minute. Konthoujan Binod Singh, Udit. G, and Pranav. B scored a goal each.
