Former Secretary of All India Football Federation (AIFF), PP Lakshmanan passed away today morning at his residence at Kannur, Kerara.
His tenure as the AIFF Secretary went on from 1988 to 1996. Lakshmanan was a passionate lover of the beautiful game and sincerely believed in the development of the game.
Along with Priya Ranjan Das Munsi the then President of AIFF and A R Khaleel (Treasurer, AIFF), and encouragement from Peter Vellapan, Asian Football Confederation, Secretary, he introduced and promoted the National Football League (NFL) in 1996.
State association, KSFA, condoled the death of the former AIFF Secretary.
