South United FC has recruited 19-year old Anthony Francis Thomas Payyapilli as their new Goalkeeper. Anthony, was recruited from Shillong Lajong FC. and has played with Ozone FA Bangalore, Alcobendas CF, Madrid and Guardian Angel Sports Club, Goa.
He has trained with Spanish club Alcobendas CF in Madrid, a feeder club for Spanish La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
Apparently, coach Kiran Santhosh found Anthony’s distribution and communication impressive during a scouting round and believes that he adds immense value to South United FC’s defence.
Anthony Payyapilli said on the recruitment “At South United, I am given a chance depending on how I train and am always able to compete against senior players.”
