Indian football legend, Garden City's Arumainayagam received Lifetime Achievement award by the Sports Writers Association of Bangalore (SWAB) in a ceremony yesterday.
The 60s star, popularly known as ‘Baby Taxi’ is his playing days was part of the Indian Football team that won the Asian Games Gold Medal in 1962. He was given a standing ovation when he received the award.
The humble man from Ulsoor, Arumainayagam, played for eight continuous seasons for Mohun Bagan, the National Club of India.
