Jayakumar, a budding footballing talent who used to play for Jupiter, died fatefully yesterday, March 6.
He was accompanying his family to a temple in Bannerghatta, outside of Bangalore. After visiting the temple, he went to take a dip to a neighboring water tank. However, he went missing after that and thousands of devotees flocking to the temple made the search operation difficult.
Jayakumar played a stellar role when Jupiter recently got promoted to B Division from C Division.
Jayakumar left his aged parents and 4 brothers and sisters. He hailed from Pillanna garden, near Tanney road, this locality has produced numerous footballers.
BDFA chairman, M.P.Swamy and committee members condoled the untimely death of a budding player.
Jayakumar’s cremation will be taken place tomorrow, March 8, 10 am at Pillanna garden burial ground.
